Our Origin Story
Unified SecOps LLC was founded in 2025 by Jess Huber. He is a 24-year cybersecurity veteran within the industry. After spending 19 years as a contractor, Gold Partner and eventual full-time employee of Microsoft, Jess joined Deloitte as the Global Head of Cyber Incident Response for the next 5 years.
In his tenure at Microsoft, Jess acquired an exceptional level of technical knowledge. His first role, in 2001, was focused on malware detection and response. He moved on to (co)found different security teams within Microsoft such as the PFE Scarce Skills Security team and the Microsoft DaRT team. He was the original author of the Microsoft DaRT blog site amongst other public speaking venues for Microsoft. In his time there, he consulted on and/or led over 1,500+ cyber investigations in 60 countries before leaving as the Senior WW Team Lead of the Microsoft DaRT team.
Once he joined Deloitte as the Global Head of Cyber Incident Response in 2020, Jess played a significant role in shaping the entire cyber defense strategy of the world’s most prestigious audit and accounting firm. He was directly involved in all cyber incident response investigations for Deloitte Global and all member firms consisting of 525k+ people and 1m+ endpoints. During this time, he was also a guest speaker at the SANS 202 Cloud Security Summit.
Jess saw an opportunity to bring Fortune 100 strategies to organizations of all sizes and he founded Unified SecOps LLC to bring his vision to life.
